Independent hauling services
HaulPick connects customers with independent haulers. Haulers are responsible for their vehicles, travel to and from jobs, loading, transport, lawful disposal, permits, insurance, and their own workers. They are responsible for property damage or injury caused by their work.
Responsibility & limits
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the platform does not assume responsibility for accidents, vehicle damage during travel, or damage a hauler causes to a customer’s home or property. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or guarantees a complete waiver of responsibility.
Fees & payments
Customers can post and obtain quotes for free. Joining and bidding are free for haulers, with no monthly membership. Haulers agree to a platform fee of 13.5% of each completed job’s accepted price, plus actual payment processing fees deducted from earnings. The hauler’s payout is the accepted amount minus those fees. Additional provider, refund, dispute, or tax costs may apply to the business.
HaulPick collects payment at booking and requests release after both parties confirm completion, subject to disputes, provider rules, and available funds. With direct charges, payments enter the hauler’s Stripe balance at booking. HaulPick requests a bank payout after both completion confirmations, available funds and issue checks. Stripe settlement requirements still apply. Payments are processed through Stripe. This service is not represented as escrow. Haulers must complete Stripe verification before accepting paid bookings. Bank arrival is not guaranteed to be immediate.
HaulPick is a trade name operated by ResidentSpot LLC. Contact administrator@residentspot.org for cancellations, refunds, pickup issues, and privacy requests.
Before a booking is paid
You can cancel an open listing at no charge. Selecting a hauler or abandoning checkout does not create a paid booking. If Stripe checkout is pending, leaving Stripe does not void the order. Use Cancel unpaid pickup so Stripe can confirm the checkout is unpaid, or contact support before starting another payment.
Paid cancellations and refunds
Use Report an issue on the pickup and choose Cancellation request, or email support with the pickup ID. HaulPick adds no cancellation fee. If no work has started and no service was provided, the customer is eligible for a full refund of the accepted job price after support verifies the cancellation. A refund is not confirmed until the payment provider confirms it.
If loading, hauling, or other agreed work has started, support reviews the completed work, the agreed scope, chat, photos, and both parties’ accounts before deciding whether a full or partial refund is appropriate. No additional fee or deduction is charged automatically for a cancellation or no-show. Payment-provider processing fees and whether those fees are returned depend on the provider; they do not create an automatic extra customer charge.
Hauler cancellation or no-show
Agree on an arrival window in chat. If the hauler cancels or does not arrive within that window, contact them in chat and report the issue. When no service was provided, the customer is eligible for a full-refund review or can agree to reschedule. Do not confirm Job Done for work that did not happen.
Customer unavailable, unsafe items, or changed scope
If access is unavailable, the customer is absent, or the items differ materially from the listing, contact the other party and support. Do not mark an unperformed job complete. Haulers may refuse unsafe or prohibited work. Rescheduling and refund decisions are reviewed individually; extra work and new charges require separate agreement and cannot be added automatically through this version of HaulPick.
Incomplete work, damage, and disputes
Report problems as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of the pickup, and retain relevant messages and photos. That request does not shorten any rights provided by law or the payment provider. Do not share gate codes, bank details, or unnecessary private information in a report.
A report made before a release request starts pauses HaulPick’s release process for review. If release has already started or funds have been disbursed, support can record and review the case but cannot promise to stop the transfer or recover funds. Stripe settlement requirements and payout availability still apply. This is not escrow, and an internal dispute flag does not override Stripe’s rules.
Support review
Support may request evidence and ask each party to explain what happened. Resuming an unreleased booking resets both completion confirmations. Refund timing and bank arrival follow the payment provider. Provider disputes and legal remedies remain available independently of HaulPick’s support review. HaulPick supports full-refund requests; partial refunds require manual provider review and are not automated.
Hauler fees
Joining and bidding are free, with no monthly membership or recurring subscription. HaulPick earns 13.5% of each completed job’s accepted price. Actual payment processing fees are separate and deducted from hauler earnings.
Job scope & safety
Customers must have permission to remove items, provide accurate photos, disclose stairs, weight, access limitations and hazards, and confirm completion honestly. Haulers quote all-in prices for the described scope. Changes need both parties’ agreement before work; this version does not support extra charges. Prohibited and hazardous materials cannot be posted. Open unpaid listings can be cancelled; paid cancellations and refunds need support review. Reporting an issue before release pauses it for resolution.
Privacy
We store account contact details, addresses, job photos, bids, messages, and transaction references. Before booking, haulers receive the customer’s first name, last initial and general area. The selected hauler receives the pickup address after payment. Other haulers’ bid prices stay private. Before-and-after pickup photos are private booking records for the booked customer and selected hauler, separate from public work galleries. Saving a photo does not confirm completion or release payment. Photos are re-encoded to strip embedded metadata. Do not upload sensitive information in photos or descriptions. The payment provider handles card and bank details; the platform does not collect them directly. We send account and pickup notifications to your verified account email. Message contents remain inside the app. Operators may access records to handle support and disputes. For privacy questions, email administrator@residentspot.org. Test-account cleanup removes eligible test profiles, their related application records and uploaded media, and their Supabase login identities. Cleanup audit records, payment records that must be retained, previously delivered emails, and provider-managed backups are not erased by that tool. Customers and haulers can permanently delete their login and personal profile from Profile settings after confirming their current password. Open listings are canceled and unaccepted quotes withdrawn. Active bookings, refunds, disputes and unsettled balances must be resolved first. Necessary transaction, tax, fraud-prevention and support records remain, linked to an anonymized account record. Personal media not needed for those records is deleted. If cleanup is temporarily interrupted, the account is locked and deletion retries automatically. Deleting HaulPick does not close a separate Stripe account or erase records Stripe retains.
